Cheeto’s surgery took a little longer than expected but when I spoke with staff they were stitching him up and said he was doing well. He will be on IV fluids, antibiotics and pain meds. Mom is trying very hard to not think about what he is going through right now and instead focus on how his life will be improved once the healing process is over. The office is closed tomorrow but someone will be checking on him and the other patients. Cheeto’s eta for homecoming is Thursday afternoon/Friday morning. Please keep my boy in your thoughts for fast healing.

Thanks all. I am going to put his crate in the living room and sleep on the couch as long as need be. I never sleep more then 2 or 3 hours in a row anyway so should do OK.

sending our best ET juju to cheeto. get some rest tonight and tomorrow, and remember to keep the ‘happy face’ showing when you see him, let him know he’s the best looking boy in the world!!!!

So happy to hear that Cheeto is doing well. Can’t wait to hear all of his updates as he goes through his healing process. Definitely get some extra sleep! It will feel like you are taking care of a newborn baby at first. But that doesn’t last long. Before you know it he will be running around acting silly again!! Praying for Cheeto ‘s recovery to go smoothly and quickly!!
